The day before Mother’s Day, Chef Brunacci and Sommelier Steven Lee are pleased to present a distinctive luncheon in celebration of mom and to honor the life of Madame Clicquot, a devoted wife, mother and winemaker. Guests will enjoy a reception at 12:30 p.m. followed by a four-course luncheon at 1 p.m. Each course will be expertly paired with Champagne selected by Sommelier Lee, who will guide the experience with a representative from the House of Veuve Clicquot. About Madame Clicquot:
Alongside her family, Madame Clicquot’s passion was making the finest Champagne. She married into the Clicquot family in 1798, and developed a curiosity about the wine business that eventually became a lifelong pursuit of perfection. She gave birth to a daughter named Clementine, and after the premature death of her husband in 1805 at the age of 27, she assumed control of the family business and augmented the prestige of the house with forward-thinking innovations. In 1972, the Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the Year Award was established, recognizing outstanding females in business worldwide.
