CHICAGO – Chicagoans and visitors are now invited to explore the city’s riverfront from a new vantage point – the River Walk at Trump International Hotel & Tower® Chicago. Adjacent to the Magnificent Mile, the River Walk at Trump International Hotel & Tower® Chicago is accessible via both the Wrigley Building breezeway and Wabash Avenue, and allows for pedestrian traffic directly along the Chicago River. Passersby can enjoy intimate views of the river, Michigan Avenue, and Chicago’s most iconic architecture.

With landscaping designed by renowned landscape architect Peter Schaudt of Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects of Chicago, the River Walk at Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago is a major component of the 1.2-acre, riverfront park developed by the Trump Organization as an extension of the adjacent, 92-story downtown Chicago hotel and residence. The path itself is crafted out of imported Jerusalem Gold limestone – hand-chiseled to create a unique, one-of-a-kind pattern – as well a black granite paving stone imported from the Far East. Pedestrians can also reflect at a quiet water lily pond, meant to provide a place of serenity within the hustle of city life. The environment reintroduces natural flora of the Midwestern riverbanks of the past, with native trees, prairie grass and more.

The opening of the River Walk at Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago represents the completion of the final phase of construction of what is now the sixth tallest building in the world. The property, which includes 339 hotel rooms and 486 luxury residences, also features almost 90,000 square feet of retail space. Future tenants will include fashion, beauty, specialty shop and dining outlets; all are accessible from the river walk.
